Welcome once again to the Overcomers Series! Read Overcoming Through Faith and Overcoming Through the Word of Testimony.
*****
We must never forget God’s ultimate goal and reward for us as overcomers in Rev. 2: 7, 11, 17, 26, 3:5, 12, 21.
In Matt. 28: 18, we read of how He has given us power and authority; in Matt. 16: 15-18, He gave us that power to cast out the devil, heal the sick, raise the dead in His name! He gave us everything in His name!
We must use the name of Jesus to rebuke every sickness and evil that comes our way. Mark 16: 17-18 tells us we can put all sickness to flight, all in the name of Jesus. We can put lack to flight. Phil. 2: 9-10 tells us God has given us a name above every other name!
Whatever is in your life that has a name and you do not want it, you can conquer that thing by a name that is bigger than it!
John 10: 10 tell us the devil has come to kill, steal and destroy – whatever is killing, stealing and destroying in your life you can send packing in the name of Jesus.
You can use the name of Jesus to send demons packing. In Mark 16: 17, it says “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues…” To cast out demons, you must be saved and have faith in what you say and in the name of Jesus lest the case not be like the sons of Sceva in Acts 19: 13 – 17. The sons of Sceva had no relationship with Jesus, yet they were going to cast out devils in the name of the Jesus they had heard Paul preaching about – the evil spirit talked back at them!
Know Jesus, believe in His name and His promises, and you will be able to cast out the devil!
You can also use the name of Jesus for supernatural protection. Prov. 18: 10. His name is a strong tower! There’s protection for you and all that is yours in the name of Jesus!
