The Grace of God

Today, I would like to tell you about the grace of God.

Proverbs 26:2 As the sparrow in her wandering, as the swallow in her flying, So the curse that is causeless alighteth not.

Acts 4:33 – And with great power gave the apostles their witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Grace is that thing that goes to work when you are tired. It is what works for you when you have given up or stopped trying; grace is that thing which is at work while you’re sleeping (physically or spiritually). Grace is like the oil in your engine which if applied everything works smoothly. It is the enabling power of God.

Grace covers your errors and colors your efforts.

Turn with me to the book of Ephesians 3:7,8; here we see that grace is the gift given to us by the working of God’s power, even when we don’t deserve it. The grace of God in our lives makes things happen for us. When you carry the grace of God, He will step into the race of your life and destiny, and that enables you to gain unusual speed and success in every aspect of your life.

When one’s life lacks grace, it becomes a disgrace.

I Cor. 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

If we must boast, we must boast in and of the Lord because wherever and whatever we are is possible only by His grace. There is no life, future, destiny… no moving on, without the great grace of God.

From the text above, we can see that it was grace that made Paul into what he became – an apostle of God.

Only grace can make us. Once grace starts to diminish in one’s life, the workings of God start to diminish too and vice-versa.

However, it is possible for God to grace an individual but for the grace to be in vain. There are several sinful things that can cancel the grace of God in our lives.

Let’s look at a few of them:

THINGS/SINS THAT CAN CANCEL GRACE

LUST: A good example is Samson. Despite the grace of God, he was reduced to nothing by Delilah.
GREED: Even though it was a privilege to be one of Jesus’ disciples, Judas’ greed destroyed that grace and privilege. He betrayed his master and ended his own life.
PRIDE: Vashti was removed as Queen because of her pride. Pride can destroy God’s grace in your life and move you from riches to rags.

There are many more things that we can do that can cancel God’s grace in our lives. As we step into this month of Supernatural supply, I pray that those things that we could engage in that will destroy God’s grace in our lives and hinder our blessings will be removed from our lives in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Take note that God’s grace is activated for those that work and labor fervently. In I Cor. 15:10 that we read, Paul wrote that he labored abundantly. Do not sit down and expect God to come meet you there on your lazy throne; you’ve got to meet Him halfway.

This month, I pray for you, your labor will not be in vain; God’s grace in your life will not be in vain; sinful things will not deactivate God’s great favor in your life; receive your supernatural supply of blessings, of good health, of open doors; you will not suffer any kind of lack, supernatural provision will come to you from every direction in the mighty name of Jesus! God bless you!
