You Are Set Aside by God

Main Text
Psalms 89:28-37

Watchword
As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.
Genesis 17:4 NKJV

God continues the covenant promise, in a precise manner, God says Abraham will be the father of many nations, this is the first time God describes Abraham as the patriarch of multiple nations.

In this text we notice God says “as for Me”; He means “for my part, here is what I am promising”. God’s part of the covenant is many distinguished descendents and a promise of land. The promise of abundant progeny is fleshed out and intensified as the Lord tells the patriarch he will father a “multitude of nations”. Peoples across the globe will be counted as Abraham’s sons and receive all his blessings.(Genesis 12:3b)

Abraham did not decide to make a covenant with God, God chose to make a covenant with him (John 15:16). Abraham is the spiritual father to all who believe, this would include people from every nation (Revelations 7:9). Just as God has, indeed, fulfilled this promise granted to Abraham to be the father of many nations, He will also fulfill all of His promises to you if you just trust Him.

Confession
Heavenly father, as I walk and live in your perfect will, I positioned myself to receive every blessing promised to me in your Word in Jesus name.

Prayer
Oh Lord, give me the grace to always value your love in my life. Amen
