Messengers of the Most High

June 24, 2020 – Daily Devotional with David Olatona – MESSENGERS OF THE MOST HIGH

Main Text: Act 5:12-16

Watchword: One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.’ Psalm 27:4

When Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan, the Holy Spirit descended like a dove and “remained “on Him. (John 1:31-33). We need become a person whom the Holy Spirit will rest upon as well as “remain” on by our fellowship with God. In Hebrews 13:5 Jesus said He would never leave us nor forsake us it does not necessarily means that the Spirit is resting upon you.

You can grieve His presence and His Spirit can be in you but not resting on you. It is in the place of communion with the Holy Spirit that the Spirit of God rests upon you. The Spirit of God is in you for your sake (Roman 8:11), but He is on you for the sake of others.(Luke 4:18-19)

When the Holy Spirit remains upon a person there is an atmospheric change that takes place wherever that person goes. When we begin to grow in our faith at length with our measure of realized authority there is a greater weight of His presence that we carry.

Confession
Release these words to the world. I belong to the fellowship of the Called, the Spirit of the Lord will always be with me, I am sustained by HIS presence.

Prayer
Let us all pray this:
Let my service be acceptable to you Lord, help me to be a worthy messenger of your Word
