“In the beginning God created the HEAVENS and the earth.” (Gen. 1:1). You may not have been to heaven before but if God created the heavens and the earth and you are on earth right now you should have no struggle believing that there is a heaven. The earth is enough proof for you that there is a heaven. There are so many schools of thoughts as to how many heavens there are. Some say two, others three, yet others say seven; I don’t have any problem with that; I am not a theologian. All I want you to see today is that there is a heabeen. I only know of one heaven; the one where God lives. Psalms 2:4 says; “He that sitteth in the HEAVENS shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.” The HEAVEN I am presenting to you today is not the one in the clouds. It is a real and tangible place where God dwells. If He sits, there means a seat is there. You cannot sit where there is no seat. It should begin to excite you. If there is laughter in heaven that means there should be no sorrow here. In this 2019 everything that makes others to sorrow will not come near you.
Please stay with me I am going somewhere. Psalms 11:4; “The LORD is in His Holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in HEAVEN: His eyes behold, His eyelids try, the children of men.” That means the LORD has a throne in Heaven.
So the heaven that I am presenting to you is the one that has God’s throne in it. It is where God sits and laughs.
Next let’s look at Isaiah 66:1. Let’s establish these truths. “Thus saith the LORD, the HEAVEN is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that you build unto me? And where is the place of my rest?”
In talking about Heaven we are talking about the place where God sits; the place where God laughs; the place where He rules and reigns from. If that is where God wants us to be, if that’s where God is taking us to, if that’s where He has put us right now, if that’s what God wants us to taste on the face of the earth; then anything that does not have a place there must not be having any type of show in our lives.
Anything that is not where God rules and reign should not be ruling and reigning in your life.
The heaven I am presenting to you is the heaven that is His throne…
That is the heaven I am presenting to you this year. The word of God makes that clear in John Chapter 3. Look at it. “He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from HEAVEN is above all” (John 3:31). The heaven we are talking about is the one that is above all; the place where God resides; where He dominates, rules and reigns from. That is why Jesus told us to pray like this if we want to pray; “Our Father which art in HEAVEN, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in HEAVEN” (Matt. 6:9-10). So this God is our Father. And He can be your Father also if He is not yet your Father.
ACTS 1:9-11
“And when He (Jesus) had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly towards HEAVEN as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into HEAVEN? This same Jesus which is taken up from you into HEAVEN, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into HEAVEN”.
The same place where the LORD reigns from is where Jesus came from; and that is where He went back to. Jesus came from Heaven. Jesus also went back there. Now let’s look at Ephesians chapter 4:7-10. “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ASCENDED up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men (Now that he ASCENDED, what is it but that he also DESCENDED first into the lower parts of the earth? He that DESCENDED is the same also that ASCENDED up far above all HEAVENS, that he might fill all things.)”
