Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
John 11:41 NKJV
Thanksgiving is very important because
there is a connection between gratitude and faith. (Luke 17:13-17). We get heaven’s attention when we give thanks. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He began by thanking God that He has heard Him (John 11:41-42). We can thank God for what He has already done through the finished works of Jesus. When we praise God, He always shows up.(Acts 4:24, 31; Acts 16:25-26). God hates grumbling and complaining, but He loves to be praised. We are instructed to praise God, if we do, He in return promises to bless us (Psalm 67:5-6).
Never underestimate the importance of gratitude, it is one of the most powerful spiritual weapons that you have! Gratitude strengthens your faith, by helping you to think right. As you praise God and speak of His marvelous works, you are reminded of all that God has done, and your faith in God and His plan for you increases. (Romans 4:20). Praise and thanksgiving are powerful spiritual weapons that come from highly developed faith. Gratitude is a sure sign that you have faith in God’s Word, eradicating all unbelief, by fixing your mind solely on the word, which is the powerful place to be!
Whenever thanksgiving rises up to God, He is stirred into action to perform a miracle. Be a thanksgiver because thanksgiving releases enormous power of God to do wonders in your life. Gratitude is a spiritual force that empowers you to scale to higher heights. When you are a grateful Christian, powerful supernatural forces from heaven are unleashed that cause things to work for you the way they should. Thanksgiving
brings incredible restoration. Jesus gave thanks and Lazarus rose from the dead. As you give thanks, every opportunity that was dead in your life will be restored in Jesus name. (Jeremiah 30:19)
