Count Your Blessings, Not Your Losses

June 29, 2020 – Daily Devotional with David Olatona – Count Your Blessings, Not Your Losses

Main Text:
Luke 17:11-19

Watchword:
Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

The story of the ten lepers encourages us to count our many blessings in life and be thankful to God. Ten lepers came to Jesus for healing, but only one came back to give thanks.

The other nine were counting their losses (things they could have achieved over the years) instead of their blessings. Many believers are just like the nine lepers, counting their losses instead of their blessings.

There are many reasons to be thankful to God. Although the global pandemic has changed things for many people, there are still lots of things to be grateful for.

The gift of life, your family, for provision, for protection, etc. The list is endless if you look deeper. Count your blessings!

Confession:
Lord, I’m grateful for all you have done me, I kook forward to receiving more because you are a giving God.

Prayer:
Father, I ask for an attitude of gratitude that will cause me to be grateful in every situation.
